Therapist Position Description

Trauma Healing NW is seeking skilled licensed therapists to join our group practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented practitioner that wants to grow in a private practice setting. Trauma Healing Northwest is a specialty therapy clinic for treating trauma and stress related disorders and their impacts on our thoughts, emotions, body, and behavior. We are committed to providing the highest quality psychological and neurobiological therapies to help you learn about the impacts of trauma and stress, grow in effective coping and grounding skills, and heal by reducing or eliminating symptoms of trauma and stress in your life. The position of Trauma Therapist is a contractor position that can be conducted in a combination of in-person and telehealth with flexible schedules available and compensated with a generous percentage of funds received for therapy services rendered. 

Therapist Position Description - Interview

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $46.00 – $96.00 per hour

Position Description:

  • Part-time (10-25 sessions per week) or full-time (25-30 sessions per week)

  • Flexible work schedule including option for in-office space Wednesday-Friday and weekends and telehealth 7 days/week

  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments, treatment planning, case notes, and other written documentation within 48 hours of service delivery

  • Effectively utilize electronic health record for scheduling, file management, claims submission, and other needs that may arise for your caseload

  • Provide individual therapy to adults ages 18+ with a focus on the treatment of trauma and other stress related disorders, issues, and concerns (training and experience in EMDR and/or Neurofeedback is a plus)

  • Provide case management, consultation, care coordination, court appearances, and other services as necessary to provide care for your caseload

  • Provide other associated duties, including (but not limited to): maintenance of client records with high professional standards, response to client text messages, phone calls, and emails within provided timeframes

  • Participate in periodic Trauma Healing NW team meetings

  • Maintain good communication with Trauma Healing NW administration to communicate caseload availability and any administrative needs

  • Ability to consult and coordinate with other providers at Trauma Healing NW

  • Client referrals and new client consultations

  • Initial appointment scheduling

  • Insurance paneling and reimbursement rate negotiations as needed

  • Credit card processing services

  • Dynamic electronic health record system with telehealth platform

  • Secure email

  • Access to marketing materials, business cards, and maintenance of Psychology Today profile

  • Insurance verifications, Billing services, client payment collection

  • Marketing services as needed

  • Other benefits such as health benefits stipend and training stipends for EMDR and Neurofeedback are available depending on part or full time status and contract term with Trauma Healing NW

Requirements:

  • Hold a minimum of a master’s degree in counseling, therapy, or related discipline

  • Hold LPC, LMFT, or LCSW licensure in the State of Oregon, and be in good standing with the licensing board governing each licensure held

  • Hold or obtain professional liability insurance that meet expected professional standards

  • Maintain CEU and other licensing requirements to maintain active licensure status in the State of Oregon

  • Have at least 3 years’ experience working as a mental health therapist

  • Experience working with Post-traumatic stress disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and other trauma and stress related disorders, issues, and concerns

  • Be able to work well with clients, work independently, hold strong administrative skills, be organized, and complete required paperwork within an appropriate timeline

  • Basic EMDR therapy by an EMDRIA approved training, entry level practitioner training in Neurofeedback by a BICA approved training program, or both, preferred. OR commitment to obtain certification in EMDR or Neurofeedback certification within 6 months of starting the position
